The Times Microwave LMR Tool Kit, Supplied by McGill Microwave systems – have been designed specifically to help the end user make coaxial cable assemblies with ease. They have been designed in such a way that there is virtually no chance of error when performing the process of making you coaxial cable into an assembly.
What is supplied in the LMR Tool Kit?
The LMR Tool Kit comes with all important tools required to help you make your coaxial cable assembly in the perfect way.
CCT-03 Cutting tool
The CCT-03 cutting tool, included in the LMR Tool Kit, is the first tool used to cut the LMR coaxial cable. The CCT-03 cutting tool is designed to cut from LMR-100 – LMR-600. This has been specially designed with a perfect spring force already built in to the tool to cut the cable. All the user needs to do is simply spin the tool, and it cuts the cable perfectly itself, every time. The CCT-03 cutting tool has a hardened blade, that allows 1000’s of cable cuts, with no degradation. This test was recently performed by Times Microwave Systems.

CST Cable Stripping Tool
The CST Cable Stripping Tool, included in the LMR Tool Kit, is the second tool used to strip the LMR coaxial cable. This tool has 3 features: Cable cut (To centre conductor), Jacket stripper and centre conductor deburring tool. There is also an adjustment setting on the stripping tool to allow to cut for Times Microwave LMR Crimp connectors or Clamp connectors. This avoids having to take the time to read instructions and measure. Simply set it to the correct connector type and start stripping!
Like the CCT-03 tool, the CST stripping tool has an extremely hard blade on it which allows 1000’s of cuts, with no blade degradation.
The CST Strip Tool is available in the following sizes:
- CST-195/200
- CST-240
- CST-300
- CST-400
- CST-500
- CST-600
CT Crimp Tool
The CT Crimp Tool, included in the LMR Tool Kit is the final tool used to crimp the connector on to the coaxial cable. The Crimp Tool has been specifically designed with ultra strong dies that never wear over time. The dies are made to a very fine tolerance, specifically designed for LMR and TCOM X Series connectors. The result from using the CT crimp tool is the perfect crimp, every time, with no tool degradation.
The CT Crimp Tool is available in the following sizes:
- CT-240/200/195/100
- CT-400/300
- CT-600
Tool Bag
All the tools within the LMR Tool Kit come with a convenient Black Tool Bag. The tool bag comes with a loop to allow the tools to be pulled up on a rope from height. This saves having to carry the tools when climbing a ladder when installing coaxial cable up communications antenna masts.
What Ranges are available in the LMR Tool Kit?

What are the easiest connectors to terminate, using the Tool Kit?
The EZ style LMR connectors are the easiest connectors to terminate, using the LMR Tool Kits. Most cable terminations can be finished in under 1 minute – with consistent resulting excellent broadband VSWR performance.
The EZ style LMR Connectors Consist of only 2 parts -the crimp tube and the complete connector body, with the pin already pre installed. The EZ LMR connectors feature a solderless, push fit /snap on spring finger centre pin design and crimp outer – making them ideal for field installations where where soldering is difficult or cannot be performed for safety reasons.
Do I have to purchase the full tool kit?
