FBT-300

FBT-300 is a High Power, Indoor/Outdoor, Highly Fire-Retardant cable.

FBT-300 is intended for High Power applications such as Military Vehicles, Commercial Aircraft Avionics Systems, Semi-Conductor manufacturing equipment and IED Jamming Systems.

Unsurpassed flexibility and bendability are advantageous features of the FBT cable design. With the FBT-300 using the same flexible inner and outer conductor as LMR-300, it enables the tightest bend radius available for any competing cable of similar size and performance.

The FBT range employs an added benefit of using a low-density PTFE tape as the dielectric rather than traditional foam PE. This results in a very low loss cable with much higher power handling capabilities. FBT-300 can carry around 2 x the Average power than that of LMR-300.

RF Shielding is 50 dB greater than typical single shielded coax (40 dB). The multi-ply bonded foil outer conductor is rated conservatively at > 90 dB (i.e. >180 dB between two adjacent cables).

FBT cables designed for outdoor exposure incorporate FEP jackets for UV resistance. The FEP jacket is also chemically inert, this means it has excellent resistance to corrosive fuels, chemicals and oils.

There are a wide variety of connectors available for this cable, including all common interface types, including reverse polarity. There are a choice of solder or non-solder centre pins. Most FBT connectors employ crimp outer attachment using standard hex crimp sizes.
