Description

LMR-200-FR-PVC

LMR-200-FR-PVC is a non-halogen (non-toxic), low smoke, fire retardant cable with excellent reliability, unsurpassed flexibility and ultra low attenuation. LMR-200-FR-PVC has a UL/NEC & CSA rating of ‘CMR’ and ‘FT4’ respectively. It is less expensive than LMR-200-FR, however it emits toxic fumes (HCL) and greater smoke density when burned.

LMR-200-FR-PVC has a PVC jacket and is therefore more flexible than the standard LMR-200-FR.

The LMR-200-FR cable has loss figures comparable to the extremely rigid corrugated coaxial cables however manages to achieve similar flexibility to that of high loss RG Cables. LMR-200 is around 40% lower attenuation than competing RG Air-Dielectric type Cables.

How is the LMR-200-FR-PVC low loss figures achieved?

This is achieved due to the cable construction specifications. The centre conductor uses a high conductivity, Bare copper clad covered aluminium centre conductor material. The dielectric is nitrogen injected, foamed, closed cell, Polyethylene which helps achieve 83% Velocity of Propagation. The Dielectric has a Aluminium foil outer conductor, which is chemically bonded on to it. Due to the cable construction, The attenuation is significantly lower as compared to single shielded coaxial cables.

Outer Jacket

All LMR-FR coaxial cables comes with a UV resistant, FRPE Jacket. This helps to ensure the cable jacket can withstand harsh outside environments and UV rays from sunlight, as well as being suitable for indoor use due to the jacket being non-halogen (non-toxic), low smoke & fire retardant.

Frequency Operating Band

LMR-200-FR-PVC is designed to operate excellent from DC – 6GHz. For any frequency band at VHF and above LMR is the obvious choice.

Installing LMR-200-FR-PVC Connectors

Installing the LMR connector range is the easiest in the business. Detailed instructions come with the connector, however, to ensure you achieve the correct strip length every time, with minimum effort, we have you covered. You can use our TK-195/200EZ Cable assembly tool kit. The tool kit consists of a CST-195 strip tool, CT-240/200/195/100 crimp tool and a CCT-03 Cutting tool.

    The CST-195/200 manufactured by Times Microwave Systems and is designed to Strip all variations of LMR-195 and LMR-200 cable. This tool has 3 features: Cable cut (To centre conductor), Jacket stripper and centre conductor deburring tool. There is also an adjustment setting on the stripping tool to allow to cut for Times Microwave LMR Crimp connectors or Clamp connectors. Simply set it to the correct connector type and start stripping. The Cable Prep Tool has replaceable blades however this should not need to be done regularly as the blades have been proven to have a very long lasting life.

    The TK-195/200EZ Cable Assembly Tool Kit has been designed for LMR-195 & LMR-200 crimp and clamp connectors. The tooling in the kit can be used with all LMR-195/200 cables and all LMR-195/200 X series connectors.
    The TK-195/200EZ tool kit consists of the following items:

    CCT-03 Cutting tool
    The CCT-03 cutting tool, included in the TK-195/200EZ Tool Kit, is the first tool used to cut the LMR coaxial cable.     CST-195/200 Cable Stripping Tool
    The CST-195/200 Cable Stripping Tool, included in the TK-195/200EZ Tool Kit, is the second tool used to strip the LMR coaxial cable. This tool has 3 features: Cable cut (To centre conductor), Jacket stripper and centre conductor deburring tool. There is also an adjustment setting on the stripping tool to allow to cut for Times Microwave LMR Crimp connectors or Clamp connectors. This avoids having to take the time to read instructions and measure. Simply set it to the correct connector type and start stripping!
    CT-240/200/195/100 Crimp Tool 
    The CT-240/200/195/100 Crimp Tool, included in the TK-195/200EZ Tool Kit is the final tool used to crimp the connector on to the LMR-195 & 200 coaxial cable. The Crimp Tool has been specifically designed with ultra strong dies that never wear over time. The dies are made to a very fine tolerance, specifically designed for LMR-195 & 200 X Series connectors. The result from using the CT-240/200/195/100 crimp tool is the perfect crimp, every time, with no tool degradation.
