LMR-600-LLPX

LMR-600-LLPX cable is an indoor, highly fire retardant cable intended specifically for runs within return air handling plenums (e.g. dropped ceilings, raised floors). It has a UL/NEC & CSA rating of ‘CMP’ and ‘FT6’ respectively.

The LMR range is recognised globally as the industry standard ultra low loss, flexible, low cost, lightweight, DC – 6GHz coaxial cable solution for many RF applications. This is also backed up by the best warranty and technical support in the business.

LMR-600-LLPX is highly fire retardant as well as having excellent reliability, unsurpassed flexibility and ultra low attenuation. The LMR-600-LLPX cable has loss figures comparable to the extremely rigid corrugated coaxial cables however achieves unmatched flexibility.

How is the LMR-600-LLPX low loss figures achieved?

This is achieved due to the cable construction specifications. The centre conductor uses a high conductivity, Bare copper clad covered aluminium centre conductor material. The dielectric is nitrogen injected, foamed, closed cell, Polyethylene which helps achieve 85% Velocity of Propagation. The Dielectric has an Aluminium foil outer conductor, which is chemically bonded on to it. Due to the cable construction, The attenuation is significantly lower as compared to single shielded coaxial cables: RF shielding of LMR-600 is > 90 db.

Outer Jacket

The Jacket of the LMR-600-LLPX is made from Fluoropolymer, this is engineered to create a low loss coaxial cable that is highly fire retardant, with a much wider operating temperature range.

Frequency Operating Band

LMR-600-LLPX is designed to operate excellent from DC – 6GHz. For any frequency band at VHF and above LMR is the obvious choice.

    The CST-600 manufactured by Times Microwave Systems and is designed to Strip all variations of LMR-600 cable. This tool has 3 features: Cable cut (To centre conductor), Jacket stripper and centre conductor deburring tool. There is also an adjustment setting on the stripping tool to allow to cut for Times Microwave LMR Crimp connectors or Clamp connectors. Simply set it to the correct connector type and start stripping. The Cable Prep Tool has replaceable blades however this should not need to be done regularly as the blades have been proven to have a very long lasting life.

    The CCT-03 cutting tool, included in the TK-600EZ Tool Kit, is the first tool used to cut the LMR coaxial cable. The CCT-03 cutting tool has a hardened blade, that allows 1000's of cable cuts, with no degradation to the blade. The CCT-03 cutting tool is designed to cut from LMR-100 - LMR-600.  
    CST-600 Cable Stripping Tool
    The CST-600 Cable Stripping Tool, included in the TK-600EZ Tool Kit, is the second tool used to strip the LMR coaxial cable . This tool has 3 features: Cable cut (To centre conductor), Jacket stripper and centre conductor deburring tool. There is also an adjustment setting on the stripping tool to allow to cut for Times Microwave LMR Crimp connectors or Clamp connectors. This avoids having to take the time to read instructions and measure. Simply set it to the correct connector type and start stripping!  
    CT-600 Crimp Tool 
    The CT-600 Crimp Tool, included in the TK-600EZ Tool Kit is the final tool used to crimp the connector on to the LMR-600 coaxial cable. The Crimp Tool has been specifically designed with ultra strong dies that never wear over time. The dies are made to a very fine tolerance, specifically designed for LMR-600 X Series connectors. The result from using the CT-600 crimp tool is the perfect crimp, every time, with no tool degradation.
