MT-230 (MilTech 230)

The Times Microwave Qualified MT-230 (MilTech-230) of hermetically sealed flexible RF and microwave transmission line assemblies are optimized and qualified for commercial, military, and other tactical demanding applications. The proprietary application of a spiral flat strip braid in the MT-230 (MilTech-230) results in a cable assembly with superior phase stability without sacrificing flexibility! These cable assemblies exhibit extremely long life in the rigorous environments found in airborne, shipboard and ground based applications.

TMS distinguishes itself by designing and manufacturing the cable, the connectors, and the cable/connector junction. This engineered integration of cable and connectors makes these cable assemblies unique.

The integration optimises the electrical and mechanical performance and includes a 1 x 10-5 cc/sec/ft vapor seal that ensures longevity. This control of the cable/connector interface guarantees the right mix of electrical and mechanical characteristics, strength, and durability, resulting in a broadband transmission line perfectly suited for severe environments.

The MilTech Range

The MilTech range offers low attenuations and cable outer diameter sizes from 0.130” (3.3 mm) to 0.650” (16.5 mm), these rugged coaxial cable assemblies are qualified to the requirements of  MIL-T-81490 and MIL-C-87104/2 and have become the industry standard products used globally in the most severe environments found in airborne, shipboard and ground based Military and commercial applications.

The MilTech assemblies feature:

• A complete range of solutions which covered the broadband frequency range DC-50 GHz and are optimized for size, weight, attenuation, minimum bend radius, ruggedness and flexibility.
• Each cable version is available with the option of a Low Smoke, Low Toxicity, Zero Halogen, Fire Retardant outer jacket if required.
• Connector types are fully field replaceable and manufactured from Stainless Steel which greatly increases maintainability and reliability of installed cable assemblies throughout their life.
• All assemblies are 100% tested after manufacture to ensure they meet the stated electrical specifications plus also meet the hermetic sealing requirements of to 1 x 10-5 cc/sec/ft per MIL-T-81490 and MIL-C-87104/2 which is critical for use in Aircraft/Airborne applications.
