Description
RG178 Coaxial Cable
RG178 is an Extremely Flexible, Indoor/Outdoor, Low Loss, Rugged Coaxial cable.
The RG178 has excellent attenuation stability. The silver-plated outer conductor prevents oxidation of the conductors thereby minimizing attenuation change vs time.
Conversely, bare copper outer conductors may oxidize quite rapidly precipitating loss increase.
Unsurpassed flexibility, bendability and ruggedness are advantageous features of the cable design.
The mechanical properties of the cable such as the solid dielectric provides superior crush resistance and therefore is well suited for tactical applications.
The stranded centre conductor offers increased flexibility and offers more flexure than solid centre conductor designs.
There are a wide variety of connectors available for this cable, including all common interface types.
